Hiya, Leilani!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for surfing by with your question. How exciting that your upcoming Disney vacation is on the horizon. Our family loves flippin' our fins on a pool day at our Disney Resort. It's a great way to rest our walking feet in between park days and enjoy a different kind of Disney magic.
Leilani, usually, when a Resort has a pool closure for refurbishments, there is an alternate pool at the Resort available for use. You can check at the Front Desk for which pool will be open and available.
Unfortunately, Resort
pool hopping is not allowed at this time, even when a pool is under refurbishment. It used to be a perk for DVC Members; however, it has been suspended for the last few years. We don't know if or when this perk will return.
However, you can double-check when you check in at the Resort for the available options. In my experience, if you arrive at the pool earlier in the day, you can usually find pool chairs and enjoy a quieter experience. Many Guests will come to the pool in the afternoon, and it tends to get busier at that time.
One other option, Leilani, is to enjoy the
Disney Water Parks. As a Disney Resort Guest in 2025, you will have complimentary Water Park entrance on your check-in day. However, our family loves to go more than once during our trip. If you are an eligible Disney Vacation Club Member (eligible for Member Benefits), you may be able to get a
DVC discount on Disney Water Park tickets, making it another great way to add a splash of water fun to your vacation. We also love to get a Polar Patio or a Cabana to give us a quieter space to hang out.
I hope you have a magical vacation. If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, swim back over here, and we will be so happy to help you.
Life is the bubbles!
