We will be staying at the BLT 12/9 to 12/16 with our 3 children ages 6, 3 1/2 and 1 1/2. We are bringing our double stroller but wondering if we should also bring our single umbrella stroller so that all 3 kids will have a place to rest.is this too much?

    Hi there Heather,

I have a 5 year old daughter who is right on the cusp of needing a stroller and exclusively walking in the parks.  That said, I actually encourage her ride versus walk at this point, because it's easier to keep up with her and I am sure she's not wandering off.  The stroller can also be a saving grace at the end of a long day when you're on your way back to your resort.  The last place you want to find yourself is carrying a 6 year old all the way down Main Street USA while the two littler ones snooze in the stroller!

Taking all of this into consideration, an extra stroller would be nice, however, I am not a fan of umbrella strollers in the parks because they just aren't sturdy enough to endure the constant maneuvering over curbs and in and out of pedestrian traffic.  I am also concerned about the fact that each parent would be pushing (or carrying) a stroller the entire day, even if one isn't in use!  For this reason, I suggest looking into the purchase of a standing board for your double stroller.  This is a platform with wheels that attaches to the back of your double stroller!  There are several different brands online but you can also rent one from an off-site stroller rental company such as my favorite, KingdomStrollers.com.  They will deliver the equipment directly to your resort for your convenience!

    Best Wishes,
