Hello! We are staying at the best western Stovalls in, just wondering where we can enter through? We are coming from Australia and excited to bring our 5 year old.

Hi Felicity! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

This is the perfect age for a trip to Disneyland Resort! I know personally that you're going to have the best time experiencing the magic.

Good Neighbor Hotels are a great choice of a place to stay during your vacation since they're Disney approved and close to the action. While onsite hotels like Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel feature access to Disney California Adventure Park through special entrances, all other Guests, including those staying in Good Neighbor Hotels enter the parks through the Main Entrances. If you're taking a rideshare service from your hotel, you'll be dropped off very close to the Main Entrances on Harbor Boulevard. If you're walking, you can either approach from Harbor Boulevard or you can enter from the Downtown Disney District security entrance close to Disneyland Hotel and walk through Downtown Disney District past all the fun shops and yummy places to eat to get to the Disneyland Esplanade between the Main Entrances.

At that age, children love to meet their favorite Characters. Try a Character Dining Experience for a relaxing way to meet your favorites, while enjoying a meal. Or do a Character Experience inside the parks, which is a great option for preschool-age kids too. Mickey's House and Minnie's House in Mickey's Toontown in Disneyland Park are two favorite locations in my family.

    I hope this helps!
