Jambo, Sara!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your excellent question. You must be roaring with excitement getting ready for the "mane event" with your upcoming stay at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. It's one of my favorite Disney Vacation Club properties, as I love to watch the over 30 species of animals graze and roam in the savannah and dine at the delicious
Sanaa restaurant. At this spectacular Resort, there's more to see than can ever be seen and more to do than ever be done!
One of the great benefits of staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort Villa is that your home away from home comes with a full-sized kitchen. At Kidani Village, the Villas come equipt with a traditional drip pot coffee maker to help you get that extra Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah in your step in the morning. If you desire a different type of coffee maker, like a Keurig, you can request one on Check-In or you can call
Guest Services with your reservation number in advance so the helpful Cast Members can put a note on your account. Just note they are based on availability.
For your little tiger, the Villas do not typically have child-size utensils and plates in the Villa's watering hole. There are smaller plates, but these are typically porcelain. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries." There are a few alternative options you can consider. We would typically bring one or two child-sized plates and utensils from home that we could wash in the Villa dishwasher or sink when our cubs were toddlers. Alternatively, the
Zawadi Marketplace at the Jambo House in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is about a 10-minute walk from Kidani Village, sells housewares and you may find something child-friendly there. I also recommend visiting the
World of Disney at Disney Springs which may sell Disney-themed kid-sized plates and utensils.
If your little one is sleeping in a Pack 'n' Play or a crib, it will come with bedding. Often Pack 'n Plays are included in your Villa closet automatically. However, to be sure you have one or a complimentary crib, I recommend calling
Guest Services in advance to request one, as they are first come first served. This will be sure your den has the sleeping arrangements you need.
I hope this helps you plan for your most magical stay at Kidani Village. If you have any additional questions, please come back and
see me here at planDisney. I'll be here working on my roar!
Enjoy your wild adventure!
