We are staying at Beaches Club June 3-6th. Is there any possibility at all that Stormalong Bay could be open by then??

Welcome to planDisney, Joy! I’m happy to help with your question about the beautiful Beach Club Resort.

It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation is quickly approaching. How exciting! I recently booked a Walt Disney World vacation and plan to stay at Beach Club Resort. The pools and 230-foot water slide at Stormalong Bay, along with its proximity to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, are selling points, so l can understand why you’d be wondering if it will be open for your visit.

According to the Beach Club Resort website, the Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool refurbishment is scheduled to go from January to June 2025, and it describes the work as “routine maintenance.” Unfortunately, that’s all the information that’s been made public at this time. I would keep an eye on the Beach Club Resort page for updates.

Luckily, you still have plenty of aquatic options if Stormalong Bay is not open in time for your visit. The Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools are all available to Beach and Yacht Club Resorts guests. You can also take advantage of the water park benefit in 2025, which allows Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests to enjoy complimentary water park admissions on their check-in day. Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are currently open, so you’ll have a lot of splash-splash-spectacular swimming options to choose from.

I hope this information was helpful, Joy. As I mentioned, check back to the Beach Club Resort page for updates, and the Disney Parks Blog is also a great source of Walt Disney World news. Come right back if you have more questions. You’re as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
