While staying at the Beach resort when there is EMH at Epcot do you have to go to the main entrance or can you go to the friendship entrance? Also is it quicker to get to Magic Kingdom by way of the monorail from Epcot or by buses from the Beach resort?

    Hi Robert,

Thank you for visiting with your question. Disney's Beach Club Resort is in one of my favorite locations on all of Walt Disney World Resort property! It's so convenient to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios as well as the BoardWalk. I think you will love it!

You'll definitely be able to enter Epcot during Extra Magic Hours from the International Gateway entrance. You may either walk to this entrance or take the boat if you prefer. Mornings in the parks are my favorite. There is just something so special about that first hour or two.

As for getting to Magic Kingdom Park, I would take a bus directly from the Resort rather than the Monorail. You'd have to walk from your hotel to the International Gateway entrance, all the way to Future World and exit the park at the main entrance to access the monorail. This is a walk that could easily take 30 minutes or more from your hotel room. That said, if you are already in Epcot and want to hop over to Magic Kingdom Park, the monorail would be the better option.

I hope you have a wonderful visit at Walt Disney World, Robert. Make sure to stop by Beaches & Cream Soda Shop to grab some delicious ice cream if you can. You won't be sorry!

    Happy planning,
