We will be staying at the Beach Club and want to visit the Magic Kingdom. Can we go through the International Gateway at Epcot to get to the Monorail?

Hiya, Ralph! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for dropping by to chit-chat about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.

Disney's Beach Club Resort is such a fun place to stay. It's actually one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. The Stormalong Bay pool area is the largest pool at any of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. It's 3 acres of aquatic fun with sand-bottom pools, a lazy river, a water slide and hot tubs scattered around. In the summer, this is my go-to resort!

The location of Disney's Beach Club Resort is also a highlight of this resort. It's situated within walking distance right between EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. However, the best way for you to get to Magic Kingdom Park is going to be taking a bus directly there.

Before park pass reservations were a thing, if you had the park hopper ticket option, you could have walked through EPCOT via the International Gateway to get to the monorail to take you over. However, this would be really tricky to do now since park hopping isn't allowed until 2:00 p.m. To make this option work, you would have to have your park pass reservation selected for EPCOT for the day. Then, you'd scan in and walk through the park to the front entrance to get over to the monorail. However, you wouldn't be able to enter Magic Kingdom Park until 2:00 p.m. when park hopping hours start. So you would need to enjoy EPCOT for a while before heading to your second park. If you are looking to spend the full day at Magic Kingdom Park this wouldn't work out.

The bus from your resort will take you straight from there to the front entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. It's going to be the best option to get you over there at this time.

I hope this helps you plan your day. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help!

    Have fun.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
