    We are staying at Beach Club villas for marathon weekend January 2013. I know this property is within walking distance to Epcot. Will we be able to walk to the race start area that morning instead of taking the buses?

    Hi Annabel!

    The Beach Club Villas are my family's favorite place to stay at Disney!  We just love the resort and the entire Boardwalk/Beach Club area.

    While the Beach Club is an easy walk into the back entrance of Epcot (International Gateway), the park won't be open that early in the morning to allow you to walk to the front of the park where the starting line is in the parking lot.  So, you will still want to take a bus to the race.  However, I LOVE walking back to the resort after the race.  I usually walk (slowly) through Epcot with my medal hanging proudly around my neck and make my way back to our room at the Beach Club.  Sometimes, I even stop and get me a special treat at the French pastry shop!  After all, I just ran 13.1 miles, so I earned it!  Just keep in mind that you will need a park ticket to enter Epcot at the front gate after the race.
