I will be staying at the Beach Club Resort; Is it worth the extra money to upgrade to a water-view room?

At the Beach Club Resort, a water view room will give you a glimpse of a quiet pool,  Stormalong Bay or perhaps Crescent Lake. However it is quite a distance to the lake and there are some obstacles blocking the views (trees, water slide, etc). It certainly isn’t the direct views that are enjoyed at the lagoon resorts such as the Grand Floridian or Polynesian. Also remember that some rooms at this resort have standing room only balconies. These views however can be very pleasant and certainly better than looking at a parking lot.

A standard view room may give a nice view of a courtyard but you could also look out towards the parking lots. If booking a standard view room, I would request a view of a garden or woodland area.

At this resort, I am just fine with the standard view. Probably due to the fact that we spend so much time outside at Stormalong Bay!
