Going to be staying at the Beach Club resort for the first time in a week. I know Epcot is very close by. What forms of transportation can I use to get there if I don't walk? Also, can you tell me if the pool is open there in January?

Welcome back to planDisney, Rick! I bet you're counting down the days until your vacation this coming week. Disney's Beach Club Resort is one of my favorite Disney Resorts Collection Hotels, especially because of its proximity to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's one of my favorite locations at Walt Disney World Resort and I know you're going to love staying there too!

At this time, there is no transportation that runs between Disney's Beach Club Resort and EPCOT. It is a very short walk to the International Gateway, so the bus does not run between those two locations. If making that walk is difficult for you, I recommend renting a mobility device from a Disney featured provider. That way, you can have it with you at all times and use it to get you back and forth between your Resort Hotel and the Theme Parks. You can also order a rideshare from your phone to take you to EPCOT, in which case you'll be dropped off within a short walk from the front entrance.

Weather permitting, Stormalong Bay, the legendary pool at Disney's Beach Club Resort, is open all year round. It is comfortably heated so it is great for a dip even on a chilly day, but when the temperature drops really low or there is inclement weather in the area, the pool may close temporarily. Sign boards will be posted all around the pool area in the case of closure so you'll know for sure if you're able to float in the lazy river each day.

I hope this answers your question, Rick, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
