We will be staying at the Beach Club Resort from Feb 8-16 2011. What are the hours for the pool? And, is the Stormalong Bay close to our resort and does it have hour restrictions, too, and is it free like the pools?

    Hi Elaine,

You are so lucky that you will be staying at the Beach Club Resort! I have stayed there a few times and I think StormAlong Bay (SB) pool is definitely one of the coolest pools of any of the WDW Resorts. It is actually a 3-acre water park (not really your typical main pool like at the other Resorts),but it's considered the Main Pool for both the Beach Club (BC) and Yacht Club (YC) Resorts (it is shared between the two). There is no additional charge to use this pool, you need only be a guest at either the BC or YC in order to use it and will need to show your room key as identification when you enter this pool area. The pool starts by the YC and it continues all the way over to the BC, so make sure you start at one end and follow it all the way to the other end so you don't miss any of it. Some areas have a sand bottom with buckets lying around for children to make sandcastle's and play in the water at the same time, other parts include a slide with a connecting pool area,a lazy river area as well as hot tub locations within it all and the best childrens pool activities which are led by the lifeguards who make this super fun for all to enjoy.

You will also be able to enjoy any of the Quiet Pools that are located at this Resort (which are open 24 hours/day),but to tell you the truth,StormAlong Bay Pool (has seasonal hours and varies) is so much fun that my daughter and I could not pull ourselves away from that area! There are 3 separate entrances to the pool and your easiest location to enter the pool area will probably be just past the lobby area of the Resort (Front Desk) and past Cape May Cafe where you will arrive at Martha's Vineyard (bar), right outside and voila, you're there! There is also an entrance right outside of Hurricane Hanna's which is a poolside bar that also serves burgers and hot dogs, etc..and there is also an entrance by the YC.  Have a great time!
