Hi, Rebecca!
Let me say WOW to this amazing itinerary you have planned! You will certainly get to enjoy plenty of magic during your extended stay at
Walt Disney World - then add on a
Disney Cruise and a few more days of Walt Disney World. Simply magical!
Unfortunately, there is no long-term luggage storage available at Walt Disney World, so you will need to keep your luggage with you. I think you will find there is quite a bit of storage available in your Disney Cruise Line stateroom, so hopefully you will be able to store your luggage by using the extra space under the bed and in the closet.
I know this is easier said than done but packing lightly will really help. You will find convenient
Self-Service Laundry facilities at both your Walt Disney World Resort hotel as well as on the ship. Hopefully by doing a load or two of laundry as well as plan on re-wearing items such as hoodies more than once, you can cut down on the amount of luggage you have to take with you. I just got back from a 4-night cruise and as I unpacked, I realized how many "extras" I packed. I am really going to work on streamlining my packing next time as it would be nice to have lighter luggage and leave all the unneeded items at home! Both Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line both are "resort casual" friendly, so no need to overpack fancy dresses or formal wear (maybe one really nice outfit for a family photo on the cruise one evening!)
One last thing since you are staying at
Port Orleans French Quarter...make sure to try the made to order beignets at the Scat Cat's Club Cafe near the entrance of your hotel. You will be so happy to have tried these yummy treats! Don't forget the chocolate dipping sauce!
Wishing you a super-magical extended stay with Mickey, Minnie, and all their pals. I hope your holiday is full of wonder and pixie dust!
