Hello Heather! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
During our stay at
Disney's Beach Club this past year, two things stood out that made this particular Walt Disney World Resort a family favorite: the close proximity to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios and Stormalong Bay, the Water Recreation Area.
The close proximity to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios made visiting those parks a breeze, as walking to and from the theme parks is completely doable. Regardless, Disney's
Complimentary Resort Transportation has got you covered when it comes to visiting any of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks during Extended Theme Park Hours.
Transportation for Guests to and from the theme parks is available from 45 before park opening up to 1 hour after theme park closing, which includes Extended Theme Park Hours. This means that buses to and from Disney's Beach Club will still be running for up to an hour after Magic Kingdom Extended Theme park Hours are over.
As far as whether it is a "good idea" depends on personal preference. I love taking advantage of this extra time because I feel a noticeable difference in wait times for attractions and the theme park does feel less crowded. However, I never take advantage of
Extended Theme Park Hours and stay in 1 park for an entire day. If I use the extra hours, a midday break at our Walt Disney World Resort for a dip in the pool and an out-of-park dining experience is a must. This allows us to take advantage of the extra hours, while not pushing ourselves too much in the span of 1 day.
Have a (extra) Magical Vacation!
