Hi, we will be staying at the Beach club, first time at a deluxe resort and first time having park hoppers. How realistic is it to walk to epcot from our hotel and take monorail to MK or other resorts vs taking the bus transportation? Thanks, Christy

    Hi Christy!

Congratulations on your upcoming stay! You're going to adore Disney's Beach Club Resort. It's a great choice for your first time at a Walt Disney World Resort Deluxe Hotel.

Walking into Epcot via the International Gateway located at the back of Epcot's World Showcase is super easy and not a far stroll from the resort at all. It's part of the reason we like staying at Disney's Beach Club or Yacht Club Resorts. There is also water taxi service available to Disney's Hollywood Studios. While technically you could go to Magic Kingdom Park by walking into Epcot and taking the monorail, I'm not sure I'd recommend it as it will add quite a bit of time to your journey. You'd need to enter through the before mentioned International Gateway and walk all the way through the park to outside the front entrance where the monorail station is located. Then you'd need to take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) where you'd change monorails to the Magic Kingdom Park monorail. You'd also need to go through security at both locations adding to the time it would take. I like any excuse to ride the Walt Disney World Resort monorail, but depending on your plans for the day, this idea may not be very practical. Your best bet for transportation to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Magic Kingdom Theme Park are the complimentary Disney buses, or if you're really looking to get there quickly and conveniently, the new Minnie Van Service.

I wish you the most magical vacation on earth, Christy. Please let us know if there is anything else we are able to assist you with.
