Staying in 2 bdrm villa @WL. Are there many of these rooms? Should I ask for a specific location or floor? Will we get daily mousekeeping since this is a DVC resort? Stayed in regular room here in December and loved it. Any other tips abt this resort?

Hey Jennifer, loved to see another question here from you and hope I can help!

You will love the Wilderness Lodge villas for your resort choice. The two bedroom units are large and  located in all areas and on all five floors.  As far as recommending, it will depend on your interests.  If location is most important and you want to be close to the main lodge building and the busses you will request a villa for that. If you choose something more quiet with a water view you can request that.  Some guests prefer to be on ground level for convenience of not having to deal with elevators and other guests prefer the highest level for privacy.  If you choose something high do request that you are close to an elevator! The entire villa area is unique and wonderful and each room will offer something very special. I don't think you will be disappointed with any of the options.

If you are paying "cash" for a villa during your stay and not staying using DVC points then you will get the daily housekeeping. In essence you pay for it in the nightly cost.  The DVC members staying using points have two options for housekeeping: Trash and Towel or Full Cleaning. They can also pay extra for the daily housekeeping.

This resort certainly has a large repeat following since it is quiet and unique.  Take part of a day and walk or bike to Fort Wilderness where you can rent a golf cart for the day (24 hours) and ride among the loops. This is especially fun during the Halloween and Christmas holidays to see the decorations.  Ask about all the hidden Mickey's located inside and out and try to find them all.  Be sure and take in the outdoor movie and enjoy the great outdoors!  Love this place....it is so serene and peaceful and a great place to come "home" to after a busy day in the parks!
