We are staying at Baylake and my mother has issues sleeping in a bed. Can we rent a recliner for our room?

    Hiya, Sonya! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you're only a few days away from your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I bet you're feeling a bit like Cinderella waiting for the clock to strike midnight. I'm happy to help you put the finishing touches on your trip so everything is practically perfect in every way before you arrive!

Sonya, one thing that I love about Walt Disney World Resort is that it provides several services for Guests with disabilities. I'll be traveling to The Most Magical Place on Earth with my own mom this May who has some mobility issues and I really appreciate the inclusive steps made to help every Guest feel comfortable traveling. I'm sure your mother is appreciative of you taking this step for her!

At the time of this writing, there aren't recliner chair rentals available with the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. However, I have a few steps for you that might be just right! First, you may find success in finding a rental with an outside party. After doing a quick online search for "recliner rentals in Orlando," several services pop up! This might be a great choice for your mom while staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort

I also think it would be beneficial to contact the team at Disability Services by calling (407) 560-2547 or emailing disability.services@disneyparks.com to explain your situation and see how they can help. Since the dates of your trip are so close, you may want to focus on calling a Cast Member directly (or even both calling AND emailing). If you do decide to call a Cast Member, I have two tips for you. First, try calling right at 7:00 AM EST when phone lines open. This will help you to have the lowest waits on the phone. Second, have a little extra patience! Cast Members work hard to make sure every Guest's day is the BEST. DAY. EVER! Because their type of help has currently been in high demand, I'm sure a friendly voice and having a little extra kindness will be warmly welcomed.

Before your trip, take some time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app! This app is a little like holding your own magic wand in your hand. You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even mobile order food. I love knowing my meal and snacks will be ready and waiting for me right when I want them! This is my favorite way of minimizing waits and maximizing the fun. And if you haven't already, make sure you've made your Theme Park Reservations with the Disney Park Pass system

Sonya, I'm wishing you and your travel party all the faith, trust, and pixie dust for your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions, please visit us again. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
