Hi Sandra,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have an exciting trip planned and, of course, having a split stay between two beautiful resorts is a bonus!
On my most recent visit, I had a split stay between Disney's All-Star Sports Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. On the day I needed to check-out of Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, I took my luggage to bell services and explained that I was moving to Disney's Art of Animation Resort. They had my luggage delivered to the new resort. They gave me a luggage tag (which I also took a photo of in case I misplaced it). I then spent the day at Epcot. When I left Epcot, I went to the new resort, picked up my luggage at the bell services desk and then checked-in. When you leave a park, you can take the bus to your new resort!
Disney's Contemporary Resort is my favorite resort. I trust that you will love Bay Lake Tower. Be sure to dine at Chef Mickey's and California Grill. We always dine at California Grill during the Magic Kingdom fireworks. The view is simply stunning. Having said that, one of my favorite perks of staying at this resort is having access to the resort monorail and being able to walk to Magic Kingdom. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House is a gorgeous resort. When I have stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I have marveled at the resort's architecture, the dining experiences and the children's activities!
Sandra, since you will be so close to Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, I hope you have considered one of the nature experiences offered through the
Enchanting Extras Collection. On our visit this past July, we did the Caring for Giants tour. It was a simple experience but inexpensive and perfect for our girls who were 10-years old at the time.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
