    I am staying in the bay lake towers 2 bedroom villa-Lakeview. my question was what type of food am allowed to bring to cook in my room. and is their a store were I can purchase my groceries near by.

    Hi Jose! Congratulations on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. You're going to love Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, it's just a short walk or fun ride on the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park.

    Get ready to be spoiled with all the comforts of home away from home. You're 2-bedroom villa comes equipped with at least 2 bathrooms, a living area, a washer/dryer, and drum roll please…a fully equipped kitchen! And the best part...you can cook whatever you want! You just need to bring your own groceries, spices, condiments and extras to make your meals perfect. As a Mom with little ones, there is nothing better than having our groceries stocked in our vacation home and being able to save money by preparing meals. It’s true bliss for me.

    Because we travel so much to Disney Vacation Club resorts, I always have my "resort" supply box that we bring on our vacations with all our essentials. I plan my meals ahead of time and bring everything I need to make them. Since we drive to the resort I can pick up frozen or other perishable food items at the local grocery stories right before we arrive.

    If you're flying you can put a lot of your non-perishable groceries in checked luggage or ship a box directly to the resort ahead of your arrival. Another option is use a grocery delivery service like Garden Grocer www.GardenGrocer.com or 1-866-855-4350. They offer a wide assortment of groceries that can be delivered right to your Walt Disney World Resort. There's a $40 order minimum and $14 delivery charge for orders under $200 but it might be more cost effective than shipping.
