We are staying at Bay Lake Tower in a 2 room villa. I was wondering what type of laundry detergent should I use. Does it have to be powder? Can I bring liquid? Pods? Should it be He?

    Hi Heather,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

As a Disney Vacation Club member, I usually love staying in 1 or 2 Bedroom Villas so that I can have access to a laundry machine! (Yep, I’m one of those people who actually likes doing laundry…)

I’ve used all kinds of different detergents in the washers, from powder to pods. There’s usually a small box of generic powder detergent included with the unit when you check in. If you don’t like using powder, then I would recommend that you bring whatever laundry soap you and your family prefer. I’ve recently been using pods as they’re easier to pack, but you can also go with liquid soap if that’s your preference. Finally, because the washers in the Villas aren’t front loading, from what I understand, you don’t have to use high efficiency detergent.

    Have a Magical Day,
