We are staying at Bay Lake Tower in October. Do we need to bring our own beach towels or does this resort provide large towels? I don't want to load my luggage down with beach towels. Also does this resort provide laundry detergent since they have washers?

    Howdy Kathie!!

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts! The Resort is wonderful and you will love being able to make the short walk to Magic Kingdom!
Beach towels are provided at the Bay Lake Tower pool.  (As FYI, towels are provided at all of the pools at the Deluxe Resorts, the feature pools at the Moderate Resorts and none of the pools at the Value Resorts but Guests can bring towels from their rooms.)

Are you staying at Bay Lake using cash or DVC Points?  If cash, upon check-in, you will find one box of laundry detergent in your Villa and they will replenish your items each day as needed.  You can purchase additional boxes for $1 each.

If you are staying using DVC Points, you will still have a box of detergent at check-in but your housekeeping schedule will be a bit different (this helps keep maintenance costs down for DVC Members).  Stays of 7 or less nights have "Trash & Towel" service on day 4. Stays of 8 or more nights have full service housekeeping on day 4 and "Trash & Towel" on day 8.  If you would like, these services are available to you more frequently for a fee. Contact Disney Vacation Club Member Services prior to your arrival or notify the front desk at check-in.

During Trash & Towel service and/or full service housekeeping, you will be given a new box of detergent as well as new shampoo, conditioner, coffee filter packs and dishwasher detergent. However, as DVC Members when staying using our Points, we always bring our own items to ensure we have all that we need.

Please let me know if you have any other questions as you make your packing list!

Thanks so much for your question and have a magical day!
