If I am staying at Bay Lake Tower, can I take the monorail to my corral for the Princess Half? If so, what time should I plan on getting to the monorail concourse?

    Hi Eean,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

First off, way to go for taking on running the Disney Princess Half Marathon. It's such a fun and high-energy event. My wife and I enjoy staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, as it's one of our Disney Vacation Club Home Resorts.

When you pick up your race bib at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, you'll receive more information about race event transportation and about the event scheduling.

There will be special runDisney race event transportation motor coaches that will transport event participants from the Resorts Hotels to the race event staging area. In the case of Bay Lake Tower, you'll want to check for race transportation signage in the lobby of Disney's Contemporary Resort.

When I last took runDisney race event transportation from Bay Lake Tower, the bus boarding area was just outside the Contemporary Resort's Convention Center.

I can share that for the Wine & Dine 10K my wife and I left our Bay Lake Tower resort room at 3:30 a.m. to get to our corrals by 5:30 a.m. We arrived at the staging area in time to wait in the long line for a fantastic and fun photo with Mickey and Minnie before all race participants had to go to their corrals.

Good luck with your race and enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
