Hi Bonnie,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. My family and I just returned from a stay at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. We love the sleek and modern design at this resort, and the ability to walk to Magic Kingdom Park is wonderful.
I have good news for you on both of your questions. There are highchairs available by request subject to availability. We have very often found highchairs in the closet in our villa when we arrive. To be sure that you have one, I suggest that you request one for your villa. Simply ask your travel agent to note the request on your reservation, or call Disney directly at 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) to ask that the request be noted. If you arrive and do not have a highchair in your villa, simply call housekeeping to request one.
The pools at Walt Disney World Resorts are heated. When we visited Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort recently, it was pretty chilly outside, but our daughter wanted to swim. We headed to Bay Cove Pool and the water was comfortable. If it is chilly outside, you might need to be prepared to wrap up in lots of towels and head inside when you are done with your swim to stay warm, but the water itself should feel comfortable.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Bonnie. Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
