Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Can I just tell you: you are going to LOVE staying at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! From the bright and modern-with-a-touch-of-Mickey décor to the fact that you can walk to Magic Kingdom Park, it’s a dream-come-true resort.
Mmmmm, coffee. I
love coffee, Janet. When at Walt Disney World, I think of coffee grounds as the magical pixie dust that fuels every fun-filled minute, and I know many other Guests feel exactly the same way. Rooms at Bay Lake Tower are equipped with your standard drip coffee makers, and your Mousekeeping team will provide packets of grounds, as well as sugar, sugar substitutes and powdered creamer. If, like me, you prefer milk in your coffee, you can easily cross the pedestrian bridge and pick some up in the Quick-Service locations at Disney’s Contemporary Resort – I suggest Contempo Café, because they have amazing cupcakes.
Janet, things are always changing at Walt Disney World, so there’s a possibility you’ll find that your room is equipped with a pod-style machine. If you absolutely must know before you arrive (I get it – my husband travels with his own coffee), please call Guest Services at (407) 939-1000 and a Cast Member will be happy to answer the question you have brewing.
One last tip from one coffee lover to another: hop on the monorail and head over to
Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for a delicious meal and the Freshly Brewed Joffrey’s Coffee Hawaiian Kona Maragogype Press Pot. It’s must-do liquid magic!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
