Staying at aulani 5/1/15-5/6/15 in a 2br villa can you tell me how much I should plan for the taxes that are due at checkout? Also, are there gas grills at the hotel?

    Hi Kimberly,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  A stay at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa sounds absolutely magical.

The Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax applies to all stays at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa.  The tax must be paid by check-out and varies with room type and time of year.  To calculate the tax you will owe, if you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you can visit the Disney Vacation Club Member website.  Go to the tab for "Destinations" and choose "Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas".   Scroll down, and on the right-hand side under "Quick Links" you will find "How to Book this Destination."  Then choose "Know Before you Book."  In this section you will find information on the Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax.  There is a hyperlink to click, which will bring up a chart of the nightly taxes.  Alternately, you can call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 and they will help you to calculate this tax for your stay.  Both Disney Vacation Club members and non-members can also call Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa directly at (808) 674-6200, and they will help you to calculate this tax.

There are indeed gas grills at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa.  They are available for use from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis.  Grilling utensils are available to borrow at the Pau Hana Room.  There are picnic tables nearby the grills where you can enjoy your fare.

I would like to thank my fellow Disney Vacation Club Specialist on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Juliette, for her help with this information.  Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, Kimberly.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
