Hi, We are staying at the Art of Animation and trying to make dinner reservations for our first night. To get to another resort, do we have to take the bus to DT Disney, then catch another to that resort area? What are the ride times like?

    Hi Kim,

The answer really depends on the resort where you are dining.  Traveling to Downtown Disney and transferring is always an option; however, it may not always be the quickest way to get from point A to point B.  If you are dining at a resort that is close to a theme park, it may make more sense for you to take a bus to the park.

For example.  If you are eating at California Grill, I would suggest going to Magic Kingdom and then take the walking path to the resort from there.  One of my favorite unnoficial sites is Our Laughing Place.  You can enter in your starting place and your destination, and you'll be given a list of transportation options with approximate travel times.

Or, feel free to ask a follow up question.  If you tell me where your reservations are, I'll be happy to give you any suggestions that I have.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
