Hi, Teri. Welcome to planDisney!
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is such a magical place to stay! With its larger-than-life theming and immersive storytelling, it truly makes you feel like you've stepped into the worlds of Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. And to make your visit even more spectacular, you’ve got tickets to
Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios—talk about an unforgettable experience!
These exclusive after-hours events are amazing for a few key reasons: Lower wait times for popular attractions, complimentary snacks like ice cream, popcorn, and select beverages, and a unique nighttime atmosphere with dazzling lights and smaller crowds. You're going to love every moment!
Now, let’s talk about how you’ll get back to your home away from home after these late-night adventures!
Disney Skyliner: Since you’re staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, the Skyliner typically operates up to 90 minutes after EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios close, including for special ticketed events like
Disney After Hours. So after your night at Hollywood Studios, you should be able to hop aboard and glide back to your resort with ease.
Disney Buses: If you’re heading back from Magic Kingdom, the Skyliner won’t be an option, but Disney buses will be available. Buses run until at least one hour after the park’s official closing time, including special event hours. If the After Hours event runs until 1:00 AM, for example, buses will continue running past that time to make sure all Guests get home safely.
Of course, if I had it my way, a Cast Member would gently tap me on the shoulder at the end of the night and whisper, "Oh no! You missed the last bus. I guess you'll have to stay in Cinderella Castle tonight!" But alas, it hasn’t happened yet… Maybe one day!
Rest assured, as a Disney Resort Guest, you’ll never be stranded—they always ensure everyone gets back to their resort, even if it means running extra buses later than usual. If you're ever unsure, just check with a Cast Member before you leave the park.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Teri. TTFN, ta-ta for now.
