We will be staying at Art of Animation with our teenagers next week. Can we walk to Hollywood Studios from there? And, should we carry a couple of backpacks with sweaters and water bottles if we plan to be in the parks until evening?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Dean ~

Your trip is literally around the corner.  Are you too excited to sleep yet?

You will not be able to walk from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Hollywood Studios. That would be about a 6 mile hike.  However, Disney does provide complementary bus service that will take you there and bring you back to your resort. If you have your own car, you are welcome to drive that as well.

I am a backpack kind of gal and like to plan ahead. If you are leaving your resort and don't plan to return during the day, I think it is a great idea to take along sweaters if you'll need them later in the evening.  I always take water bottles and snacks too.  Just keep in mind that glass containers (except for baby food jars) are not permitted in the parks.

There are locker rentals available in the parks if you would like a place to store your sweaters until you need them for the evening.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions.   We'll be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
