We are staying at the Art of Animation Resport in October with our grandsons who love water activities. What is Disney World doing to prevent guests from other resorts, especially Pop Century, from using the pool facilities at Art of Animation Resort?

    Hi Madaline!

You are going to just LOVE the larger-than-life surroundings and fabulous themed pool area as you are immersed in some of your favourite stories-come-to-life while staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort!

All Walt Disney World Resorts are known for having great, themed pool areas in the 'feature' pool area of the resort. From time to time, to enforce the feature pool being for use by resort guests only, Disney will implement a wrist band system for entry to the pool area. Currently, this system is enforced at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club's Stormalong Bay pool area to prevent pool-hopping and subsequent overcrowding of the pool area, ensuring enjoyment by the resort's own Guests.

I haven't yet heard of any definite plans for a need to enforce entry to the Art of Animation's pool area, however, having visited there last week I can tell you that the pool area is fully enclosed with a gate and could easily have the system implemented if it becomes necessary to do so. When implemented, you'll need to show your Key To The World Card at the entry to the pool area and will receive a wrist band.

Wishing you a simply Magical time as you enjoy Walt Disney World and the amazing, new Big Blue pool!
