Hi we're staying at the art of animation resort. I wanted to know how far away is the resort from magic kingdom and animal kingdom?

    Hi Danielle,

You're going to love the Art of Animation resort. The theming that recreates scenes from Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid is really well done and make you feel as if you have stepped into one of the movies. Plus the Big Blue Pool is a wow.

One thing I like about the resort is that it has a single bus stop in front of Animation Hall and does not share buses with other resorts. As a result, once the wheels start to roll, your next stop is the entrance of one of the four theme parks or Disney Springs. Magic Kingdom is farthest away. The ride there will take 20-25 minutes. Animal Kingdom is more in the 15-20 minute range, depending on traffic. Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs are all a bit closer.

If you have a dining or a FastPass+ reservation, I recommend that you give yourself at least an hour for transportation and passing through security to enter the park. Nothing is less relaxing than wondering if you are going to be late because of traffic or an unexpected delay.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Danielle. Please let us know if we can help with any other questions as you make your plans. Enjoy!
