we are staying at the art of animation resort and have 10:45 reservation at Chef Mickeys. We would like to take the monorail to the Contemporary resort. What is the easiest way to accomplish this from our resort and how much time will we need to allow?

Hi Nancy! Getting from resort to resort can be a lengthy process so just plan on extra time when you head out for the great Chef Mickey character dining experience.

If you would like a nice monorail ride then your best bet is to catch the bus to the Epcot park. It will be a short walk from where the bus drops you off to the monorail station near the front entrance. You will not need to enter the park but you will need to go through the park security if you have any bags. Once past this look to the left and you will see the walkway up to the monorail station. From here you will ride to the Transportation and Ticket Center and it is a relaxing trip that takes about 15 minutes. At the Transportation and Ticket Center you simply get off that monorail and hop on the resort loop monorail. Ask any cast member working and they can direct you as they are next to each other so it is not hard to find. The Contemporary Resort will be the fourth stop or the stop right after the Magic Kingdom. Chef Mickey dining is located on the same floor as you exit down the escalator from the monorail. I would definitely give yourself at least an hour for the trip to get there for your reservation time.

There are a few quicker ways such as bus to Magic Kingdom and then hop on the monorail but the Contemporary is the first stop so you are talking about a five minute ride. You could go around the loop once or twice if you choose to do it that way. This trip would take about 40 minutes without the looping.

Enjoy both the monorail rides and the Chef Mickey experience!
