We are staying at the Art of Animation Resort. How do we get from there to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness?

    Howdy, Nathan!

Welcome to planDisney!  I hope you're ready to have a rootin', tootin' good time at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue next month!  It's truly one of my favorite dinner shows.  Not only will you have the chance to enjoy some delicious food, but I'm sure you'll also be delightfully entertained by the Pioneer Hall Players.

Nathan, when traveling from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, you have a few options.  As you may be aware, the complimentary transportation system available throughout Walt Disney World Resort does not run direct resort-to-resort bus transportation, which means you need to first get to a theme park or Disney Springs and then get transportation to your other resort destination.

For your specific situation, you could choose to take the Disney Skyliner from Art of Animation to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then take a bus to Fort Wilderness.  Once you arrive at the main entrance for Fort Wilderness, you'll find an internal bus system that can help you get to Pioneer Hall, where you'll find the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue.  Another option would be to travel by bus from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom Park and then take a boat to Fort Wilderness.  I personally prefer this option as I find the boat rides to be a wonderfully relaxing way to travel (weather permitting!), and the boat dock is located at the back of Fort Wilderness, which is close to Pioneer Hall.  Since both of these options rely on stops at the theme parks, it's important to note that theme park transportation runs until about 60 minutes after park closing.  If you have a later seating at Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue and find theme park transportation is unavailable, you can take a bus to Disney Springs and then another bus back to Art of Animation.

Of course, rideshares are always an option to consider when traveling between resort hotel properties.  While you would pay for this option, it will likely provide the fastest and most direct route to your dinner.  Since you're traveling within Walt Disney World property, you can also check availability for a Minnie Van through the Lyft app.

If you have any extra time before or after your dinner, I'd encourage you to spend a few minutes checking out some of the unique experiences available at Fort Wilderness.  Here you'll find Tri-Circle-D Ranch, wagon rides, and even a campfire sing-a-long.  Activity schedules may vary, but you can always check availability online or with a Cast Member at Fort Wilderness.  It really is a fun property to explore!

I hope this information has been helpful, Nathan, and that you have the best time at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue!  You've got a friend in me here at planDisney, so please stop by again if you have any other questions!

    Cheers!
    Kristi
