We will be staying at Art of Animation. Is it possible to ride skyliner to Epcot and then take monorail to Contemporary in order to eat at Chef Mickeys?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Tonika!

Welcome to planDisney! We are THRILLED you stopped by and honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! Get ready for an unforgettable experience filled with MAGIC, adventure, and pure joy around every corner! From thrilling attractions to incredible food and enchanting character interactions, every moment feels like stepping into a dream. We know you're counting down the days, and we can't wait to "See You Real Soon!"

I want to start by saying you are going to LOVE staying at Art of Animation! It's like stepping into your favorite Disney and Pixar movies, with larger-than-life theming and immersive details everywhere you look! From the spacious family suites to the Big Blue Pool—the largest resort pool at Disney World—there are surprises around every corner.

To answer your question, you most certainly can take the Disney Skyliner from Art of Animation to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort! Here is how your journey will go:

    1. Board the Skyliner at Art of Animation and ride to the EPCOT International Gateway station. NOTE: This will require a transfer to the Caribbean Beach Resort hub.

    2. Since the monorail is at the front entrance of EPCOT, you'll need to walk through the park to get to the main entrance, where the monorail station is located. This requires a valid park admission to enter EPCOT.

    3. Take the EPCOT Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center (also known as the TTC) and then transfer to the Resort Monorail, which stops at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

If you don’t have theme park tickets, you won’t be able to walk through EPCOT. Instead, you can take a bus from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom and then either walk (about 5-10 minutes) or take the Resort Monorail to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for Chef Mickey’s. If you are looking for the fastest and easiest route, this is the path I would recommend.

As you continue to plan, please make sure you check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information regarding all things Disney! Mickey and his pals are planning some incredible things, and we don't want you to miss a thing!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
