Hey Paula! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I hope you are so excited because you have an incredible evening planned. Dinner at
'Ohana at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my very favorite dinners. Watching the
Happily Ever After fireworks show from the beach is just the icing on the cake! To get back to
Disney's Art of Animation Resort you have two options. The first would be to go upstairs and hop on the monorail again. You can ride it to
Magic Kingdom Park, 2 stops, and then transfer to a bus that would take you back to your resort. The second option you have is to use
Disney's Minnie Van Service. You can call a car to come and pick you up using the Lyft app, so be sure to have it downloaded on your phone before your trip. When you are ready to leave, simply open the Lyft app and enter your destination. If the Minnie Van isn't the default vehicle, all you have to do is swipe through the options until you come to it. Once you see it you can select it and see the approximate wait time and fare. Fares are based on distance traveling but you'll be able to see all of that and pay conveniently through the app. The Minnie Van Service will take you straight to Disney's Art of Animation Resort, this is by far the most convenient way to get back.
If you arrive at 'Ohana early for dinner, I highly suggest grabbing a seat on one of the comfy couches and ordering a cocktail from the
Tambu Lounge. It's a fun little spot to wait for your dinner reservation. You can head right up to the bar and order or there is a cocktail waitress who will be walking around. My favorite cocktail is the Lapu Lapu which is served up in a pineapple. So fun and delicious. If you think you might want a refill, even during dinner, save your pineapple. There's a discount if you don't get a new one. You'll be served your drink in a glass and then you can just pour it back into your pineapple yourself.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask me.
