It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that I welcome you to planDisney, Nate! Now it's time to sit back, relax, and let's talk about your dinner!
Since you are checking the site, I know you are a planner, like me. I want to check out the systems and understand the steps, so I am prepared and not frustrated when it's time to make reservations. As you know,
dining reservations open at 6:00 a.m. Eastern time each day, and you can book them starting 60 days before your visit. Since you are staying at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you can book dining and
Enchanting Extras for your whole trip (up to 10 nights) once your window opens.
Make sure you are logged into the website, which is the first step when you select "
Make Reservations" under "Things to Do" on the homepage. You can also use the
My Disney Experience app by clicking the "+" icon at the bottom of the screen and selecting "Check Dining Availability." The calendar will
automagically update to show the whole window of dates for your trip, a feature you will see starting December 11, based on your arrival date.
Being a planner, I am sure you have a strategy in mind. I always start with the hardest reservations to get and try to book the latter days of my trip to take advantage of that "60 + length of stay" booking window. It helps when
California Grill,
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White,
Topolino's Terrace, or
'Ohana during the fireworks or Best Friends Breakfast is on my wish list. While we go to the
Biergarten Restaurant every time, I know I can book this last and still have great options.
Nate, I hope you get every reservation your heart desires! For my family, dining is as important as the attractions when planning our trips to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. Dinner here is never second best!
