Hiya, Callie! Welcome to planDisney--so glad you found us! You've got a friend in me, and just like everyone's favorite cowboy Woody, I'll stick with you to the end. Or at least until we track down an answer to your vacation planning question!
You are going to have such a great time at
Walt Disney World Resort this fall! No one does spooky season like Disney, and there is all sorts of Halloween fun to be had throughout the theme parks and the
Resort Hotels. From
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at
Magic Kingdom Park to a special Character meal featuring Minnie Mouse and pals at
Hollywood & Vine, it's impossible not to get into the holiday spirit!
Callie, you made a terrific choice for your accommodations.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is one of my family's favorite places to stay when we visit Walt Disney World! The theming is really fun, with different sections dedicated to
The Little Mermaid,
Cars,
The Lion King, and
Finding Nemo. The resort is convenient to all of the parks and Disney Springs, with the bonus of
Disney Skyliner access to
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I'm happy to report that your plans for your day in the Magic Kingdom will have no problems! With your date-based tickets, you can enter the park at any time that day, leave for a meal or a dip in the pool, and return to the same park. You can ride in style to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort (another family favorite!) via the Monorail, or by ferryboat or water taxi. Personally, I love the water taxi--it's a nice peaceful ride after the hustle and bustle of Magic Kingdom!
After your dinner at
'Ohana, you can head back to the Magic Kingdom to catch the nighttime fireworks and enjoy some more time on the attractions.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are both very cool to ride after dark and you'll get some awesome views! For your return trip to Art of Animation, you can catch a resort bus near the entrance of the park.
I hope this information is just what you need for your vacation planning purposes, Callie! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, and please stop by anytime if we can help with any other questions to make your trip as magical as can be.
See Ya Real Soon!
Susan
