We are staying at Art of Animation next week and want to figure out how to get to the parks early for rope drop. What time do the buses and Skyliner start? If they only start operating an hour before park opening, how can we get to the gate before that?

Welcome to planDisney, Conrad. I'm so glad you dropped by with your question!

Conrad, Disney's Art of Animation Resort holds a special place in my heart as this was the first resort my family stayed at with my father-in-law in tow! The family suites with two full bathrooms are such an amazing option for any guest, but especially multi-generational travel and I love the larger-than-life characters you'll find around this property. They also make an amazing backdrop for photos, so try to squeeze in some time to walk around the resort with your camera out!

Now, while I could continue gushing about Disney's Art of Animation Resort, let's talk about getting to the parks. As you might know, all Disney Resort Hotel guests can take advantage of early entry at every theme park, every day. While resort transportation is officially scheduled to begin 45 minutes before opening, my family and I always plan to be at the bus station or Disney Skyliner station at least an hour before early entry begins. For example, on Monday, March 27th, Disney's Hollywood Studios is scheduled to open for all guests at 8:30 AM with early entry at 8:00 AM (hours subject to change), so my family and I would plan to head to the Disney Skyliner around 7:00 AM to be among the first in line to grab a gondola!

Conrad, you can quickly check the opening hours (and hours of early theme park entry) on your My Disney Experience Mobile App so that you plan out your mornings! Simply open your app and scroll down until you see the tile labeled, "Park Hours & Info."

I hope this helps as you're looking ahead to your Magical visit. If you have any additional questions, just remember the song from Toy Story and come on back to planDisney because "you've got a friend in me."
