We will be staying at Art of Animation next February. My parents would like to come and visit us at our resort. Are they allowed in and are they allowed to use the pools with us? Thank you!

Hello Tracy, thanks so much for your question. The rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort have such amazing theming. You will see that every detail has been carefully thought out. The courtyards are also exquisitely detailed and make you feel like you are a part of the animated films.

Disney's Art of Animation is home to the Largest Resort Pool in all of Walt Disney World. It has interactive features for the little ones, and even underwater speakers for those that love to swim 'Under the Sea'.
Unfortunately, it is only available for use by resort guests. This goes for all of pools at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

I have some alternative suggestions if you are looking to meet up with your parents:

*Downtown Disney- There are so many shopping opportunities as well as entertainment and restaurants. One of our favorite places to eat is Earl of Sandwich. Goofy's Candy Company is a favorite dessert stop. Mmm, chocolate covered pineapples! You can challenge your parents to a round of bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes, which boasts two floors of lanes and a delicious menu. Admission to Downtown Disney and parking is free!

*Resort Dining- Some of the best dining in all of Walt Disney World Resort can be found on the Monorail Loop. I suggest The California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Narcoosee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. After your meal you can stroll along the beautiful white sand beaches at any of these Deluxe Resorts. No park admission is required to enjoy these experiences.

*Disney's BoardWalk- Enjoy a stroll along this charming promenade full of surprises. Arcade games, nighttime street performers, and the BoardWalk Bakery are some of the draws of this enchanting spot at the water's edge. Again, no park admission required!

I hope you consider one of these magical options!
