Hi Michael,
You are going to have so much fun at Art of Animation! I recently stayed there in the Cars suite, and the attention to theme and detail are incredible. You'll have two full bathrooms, a sitting area, a bed that folds from the wall and a kitchenette. The sofa also makes a full bed, so your daughter will be able to choose which she prefers. And you will have the space and privacy of a master suite.
The Finding Nemo suites give you quick and easy access to the Landscape of Flavors food court and the bus station. Most important, you will be right by the Big Blue Pool, which is the largest resort pool at Walt Disney World and among the coolest.
As for character dining, you can never go wrong with
Chef Mickey's, either for breakfast or for dinner. You get to see Mickey and all his pals, have a great buffet meal and watch the monorail drive overhead. It is a treat for all ages.
I'm also partial to breakfast or dinner with Winnie the Pooh and his friends at the
Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom. We often go for an early dinner at 4 or so as a way to rest and refresh after a day in the park and to recharge for the evening ahead.
Is your daughter still into princesses? It's hard to know at that age. Both the experiences at Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Epcot showcase the Disney royalty and make you feel a little like royalty yourself.
I hope that helps. If you intend to do character dining, I strongly suggest you make
advanced dining reservations as soon as possible because those restaurants fill up quickly. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions as you plan your visit.
Enjoy!
Wilma
