Hey there, Michele! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
Michele, I just returned from a trip where we stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort, both connected to the Disney Skyliner, so I’m happy to answer this question.
Traveling by gondola with a birds-eye view is a great way to get to the parks, so let’s take to the skies!
Michele, you’re one smart planner to think about wait times for transportation. While there’s no way to predict exactly how long your wait will be as times fluctuate based on time of day and guests’ plans, I’m happy to share that my family’s longest wait to board a gondola was approximately 20 minutes. You’ll find increased wait times first thing in the morning as the parks are opening and then again at park closing time. In the middle of the day it’s common to “walk on” to
the Disney Skyliner and we were able to do this when returning to
EPCOT after our mid-day swimming break. Michele, please keep in mind that if storms with thunder and lightning are in the area, the Disney Skyliner will temporarily pause and you’ll need to use
Disney bus transportation.
Michele, I hope this helps as you’re planning out your park days. I love
Disney's Art of Animation Resort and the larger than life characters that surround the property. Make sure to walk through each of the sections and take photos if time allows.
Best wishes for a trip filled with Magical moments. Please come on back to planDisney with any additional questions.
Lauren
