We are staying at Art of Animation and have an 8am dining reservation at BOG. What time should we be at the bus to get there 15 - 20 minutes early?

Buckle up, Misty! I have some great transportation tips for you while you’re getting around Walt Disney World Resort. If you open up your My Disney Experience Mobile App, you can search for Be Our Guest using the magnifying glass search function. Once you pull up the restaurant, you’ll see a walking stick figure icon with the caption, “Get Directions.” You can enter Art of Animation as your starting point, and see exactly how many minutes it will take to get there, as well as transportation routes and methods. Clicking on the bottom blue banner, you can “See Transit Directions” and get step-by-step directions.

At the time of my morning search, it would take about 51 minutes to get from Art of Animation to Be Our Guest, but you must always account for crowds, late busses or other unforeseen circumstances. I usually allow 80-90 minutes to fully arrive at our destination, especially when gaining admittance to a park. Bag check, stroller hauling and ticket scanning can take a good minute with our family of four.

I’d want to leave my hotel room around 6:30, but if I’m correct in assuming there are Extra Magic Hours, with admittance to the Magic Kingdom starting at 7am, inquire with your hotel concierge when you check-in about the bus schedule. In the rare event that the buses don’t run early enough for you to leave, you might have to think about a taxi, but check with the concierge to be sure. Have a magical vacation! ~Lindsey P.
