Hi. We are staying in the Art of Animation in December and are wondering if the pools there are heated. We're not sure what to expect weather wise and are trying to figure out if we'll be able to use the pools. Thanks!

    Hi, Sam!

Lucky you!  The Art of Animation looks so fun - I cannot wait to stay at this new resort. Guests have been loving it.

All Disney pools are outdoor and are heated.  Expect weather in the mid 60's to low 70's.  If the sun is shining, I think it always feels warmer than that. If you plan to swim, I would schedule a break from the parks between 1 - 3 pm when it will be the warmest time of the day.

Once the sun goes down, it can get down-right chilly!  Plan to bring warm coats for the evenings and even gloves and hats.

A few days before your vacation, take a peek at Weather.com so you can pack accordingly.  I hope the sun is shining bright for your magical Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
