We are staying at the Art of Animation the day before and after our cruise. I was reading that we need our Magic Bands to board the Magical Express...what if you don't have any? Also how long will it take to get to Disney Springs from AOA?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica!

All Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel will receive complimentary MagicBands that they can use for their trip as their room key, for charging to their room account and for theme park tickets. If there is sufficient time between when you reserve your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room and when you leave, your MagicBand will be shipped to your home prior to your trip. If you receive it, you should pack your MagicBands in you carryon luggage so you can use it to check in to Disney's Magic Express. If there is not sufficient time, they can be picked up when you check in to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. In this case, you can use your Disney's Magical Express documents to board. You will receive these documents in the mail prior to your trip. I have had to do this in the past and it worked out smoothly with no delay at all!

I think you will enjoy staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort before and after your voyage on Disney Cruise Line! I would plan on budgeting 90 minutes transportation time from your hotel to Disney Springs if you plan on taking complimentary resort transportation. Once you get to Disney Springs, you will be able to enjoy all of the shopping, dining and entertainment this area has to offer. My family spent the afternoon and evening there on our trip this fall and had such a fantastic trip!

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
