Hi Lindsey! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
Oh boy! I'm so excited about your upcoming stay at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort! The Cars section of this resort is one of the best-themed areas in all of Walt Disney World. It feels like you are transported directly into the movie and are walking around Radiator Springs. Your 3-year-old is going to be in heaven! Make sure to check out the rest of the resort while you are there as well. The Lion King section is another favorite of mine and is a great area to explore with the kids.
Lindsey, you'll be happy to know that bed rails are available for you to use at Art of Animation Resort. To request them, you'll have a few options to do so. First, you can
call the Disney Resorts Hotel Reservations line and speak to a Cast Member. They will be able to note this on your reservation and have it delivered upon arrival. The next option is to make this request when completing the online check-in process. You should download the
My Disney Experience App to your mobile device to have access to this when you are ready to check in. There should be an option to add your request when going through the prompts. Lastly, you can speak to a Cast Member at the front desk upon arrival about having one delivered to your room. As long as they have enough available, you should have no problem going this route as well.
Most bed rails should be adjustable so they fit on many different sizes of beds. Since pull-out sofas usually have thinner mattresses, I'm not sure how effective they will be on them. I would plan as if you need to use it on the regular bed, and then try it out once you get in your room on the pull-out sofa.
Being that you are staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you have direct access to the
Disney Skyliner! You are going to love the ease of getting to the parks by simply hopping on one of these and arriving at your destination in a matter of moments. Here's a quick tip! If you are traveling with a single stroller, you won't have to fold it up when getting on the Skyliner. If your little one falls asleep on the way back from the parks, you can simply roll them right on and back to your resort.
Lindsey. I hope you have a magical time during your upcoming visit!
See ya real soon!
Greg
