We are staying at AOA for our trip. The morning that we plan on going to Magic Kingdom, we plan on watching the welcome show. If we take the resort bus to MK, will we get there in time or do we need to take our own vehicle?

    Hey, Kameron!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! At Disney’s Art of Animation Resort your family can live in the world of Simba, Lightning McQueen, Ariel and Nemo. The Big Blue Pool is enormous, fun and adorned with a splash pad for the kids. My sons spent all day at the pool including a splash pad battle. We made a Lion King Suite our “den” where everyone had a bed and a comfortable place to sit and eat.

We have never missed a Magic Kingdom Welcome Show using the Walt Disney World Bus Service. Buses begin running about 45 minutes before the theme parks open. On our last trip in March, the first bus arrived over 60 minutes before Magic Kingdom Park opened.

If you take your car you will need to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom Park parking lot) and then use either the Ferry Boats or the Monorail. The bus is most convenient because it drops you right at the gates.

Disney Dad Tip: I'd set my alarm for 90 minutes before you want to leave for the theme park. This will give you plenty of time to pack your theme park bag, grab some food and head to the bus stop.

Kameron, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
