Staying at AOA in Sept 2017 (can't wait!). I heard there is construction on the bridge to Pop Century. Can you still cross the bridge to go to the Pop food court? Thanks!

    Hey there, Beth!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m so excited that you’re staying at my family’s favorite resort, Disney’s Art of Animation! I’ll never forget our first visit. I expected my kids to be in awe of the resort’s Disney magic, but seeing my husband grin from ear to ear getting to see all the beautiful art throughout the resort was magic! It was like he was in a childhood dream. Nothing can compare to the level of detail and Disney imagination that Disney’s Imagineers added to the design of this resort. It’s really the coolest resort on property, IMHO!

Beth, just recently I took my little crew to Disney’s Pop Century Resort for a yummy meal at Everything Pop Shopping & Dining and we walked around afterward. I did notice the Generation Gap bridge was open but there were signs with safety warnings that said, “Infrastructure Work". I checked with a cast member and they had similar information. They mentioned this could change but that at this time it is open for guests to enjoy.

I hope you can enjoy the convenience of visiting two awesome resorts via bridge during your stay. We really enjoyed the food from Mom’s Kitchen at Everything Pop. The Pot Roast was delish! And the tie-dye cheesecake, well, where else can you find that? Lastly, if you have time, I recommend the Surrey bikes you can ride around both resorts. Surrey bike rentals are my fam's Disney's Art of Animation stay tradition!

Have a magical time and please come back and see us again soon!
