We are staying at AoA resort and have a reservation at Chef Mickeys for breakfast at 7.30am. What is the best way to get to the Contemporary resort for this time?

    Hey there, hi there, Joanne!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're always as welcome as can be. Hot dog! I'd love to chat about Chef Mickey's today; it's one of the most FUN places to dine in Walt Disney World.

To arrive on time for your meal at Chef Mickey's, the quickest, most efficient way to travel is to hire a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft or ride in a Minnie Van (which you request via the Lyft mobile app). I recommend starting this process around 7:00, to allow time to locate a driver, ride to Disney's Contemporary Resort, and make your way to the restaurant check-in desk on the main concourse.

If you want to utilize complimentary resort transportation, you'll need to start a little earlier. To catch one of the first buses to Magic Kingdom Park from your resort, be at the bus loading area no later than 6:45 AM (6:30 would be even better). Although officially, buses begin running an hour prior to park opening, in my experience, they usually send a bus or two before that to pick up the early birds or folks heading to a pre-park opening breakfast. If the screens at the bus loading zone at Disney's Art of Animation Resort don't show a bus for Magic Kingdom Park arriving soon, pivot to the ride-share option discussed above. From the bus dropoff point at Magic Kingdom Park, use the walking path to Disney's Contemporary Resort or the resort monorail to reach your destination. Bon appetit!

I hope this is helpful, Joanne, and that you have the best breakfast ever with Mickey Mouse and friends. They cook up some tasty treats every morning. Hot tip: some items on the "mouseketeer" sized buffet (like potato barrels) are grown-up favorites too, so don't skip the offerings here! Thanks again for sending your question our way, and if there's anything else we can do before your Disney adventure begins, don't hesitate to contact us again.

    See ya real soon!
