Staying at AoA and planning on visiting one park a day. Also planning Extra Hours when available and returning to the resort each afternoon to rest and then returning to the park later on. Is it easier and faster to drive our own car or take the bus?

    Hi Valerie!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

With Disney's Art of Animation being a brand new resort, we don't yet know the exact times of the bus rides to the theme parks.  What we do know is that buses tend to run approximately every 20 minutes, and Art of Animation buses will not share the route with any other resorts.

On our family vacations we usually divide our journeys between using the Disney transportation, and our own rental car.  If we are visiting a theme park for Extra Magic Hours and most of the morning, we might drive our car, especially if we are going somewhere else, such as Downtown Disney, afterwards.  It possibly is quicker to drive your own car, but the Disney Transportation System is very good, and gives you time to sit back and relax after walking around a theme park all morning, while taking you right back to your resort.

There is some good information about this exciting new resort on the Disney Parks Blog, that you may find interesting.

If you have any more questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
