Staying at AOA, one day at each park with plans to take breaks back to resort. Also cd before epcot. Going to be myself, dd 20, dd 8, and ds 2 1/2. Is it easier to take transportation, or drive back and forth on our own, since we will have car there?

    Hi there, Tabitha!

It sounds like you've got a great plan in the works! I feel like taking breaks back at your Resort is such an important activity to take time out for. It's definitely part of the fun of being at Disney and The Big Blue Pool is the single largest pool at Walt Disney World!

We are fortunate enough to have our car when we're on vacation at Walt Disney World and I have to say, I really love having the option of driving. I decide whether to drive or use Disney transportation based on where we have Advanced Dining Reservations or where we are going after our Park visit on any particular day. Keep in mind that Disney transportation does not travel from one Resort Hotel to another. I think you'll find that you can get back and forth from the Theme Parks to your Resort quicker with your car and that might be an important factor to consider with a sleepy toddler. We also like having our car at the Parks with us because if we happen to buy something big, we don't have to schlep it on the bus with us! The other nice thing is being able to take a stroller, if you bring one, all the way out to your car instead of having to fold it up on the bus. I must say though, there are some days that our family likes to be COMPLETELY immersed in the magic and not have anything to do with our family car while on vacation as well! I'd say, give it a try both ways and see which one you prefer when you're there because it might make sense to drive one day and then take the bus on another day.

I hope this helps and encourage you to write to us again with any other questions you have!

    Have a Pixie Dusted vacation!
