We are staying at the AoA in June & have reservations at Chef Mickey @7:30AM, what is the fastest route to get there & how much time should we allow, we also have reservations at the GF at 5:00PM, should we take the Monorail and where do we get on

    Hi LeAnn,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You've selected very fun dining locations and I'm happy to help you understand your transportation options. Staying at a Disney Resort Hotel like Disney's Art of Animation allows you to take advantage of complimentary transportation throughout your stay. In fact, early morning character breakfast buses exist to transport guests first thing in the morning, often times as early as 6:30 a.m. I would stop by your front desk the evening prior to notify the Cast Members of your 7:30 a.m. Chef Mickey's reservation. They'll confirm for you the buses will begin at 6:30 a.m. and I would allow an hour to travel. Have your confirmation number handy that morning. If you'd prefer to get an extra bit of sleep, you could always request a taxi from your valet at AoA which will cost you around $20 or so.

For your Happily Ever After dinner at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, you'll want to take either the monorail or boat from the front of Magic Kingdom. If traveling from AoA, I would leave your resort by 3:30 p.m, head to MK by bus then transfer to the boat or monorail. If you're planning to already be at Magic Kingdom for the day and then travel directly to GF, I would head out of the parks to catch your monorail or boat no later than 4:15-4:30 p.m. Our family loves the boat that heads over to Disney's Grand Floridian. I happen to think this is a faster option.

I hope my suggestions were clear and helpful, LeAnn, and please feel free to send me follow up questions. I'm very excited for you to experience the magic of Walt Disney World!
