We are staying at AOA (will be there in 8 days!). During our stay we have dinner reservations at 6:30 at Boatwright Dining Hall. What is the best way to get there and what time should we plan on leaving AOA to make it there on time? Thank you.

    Hello James!

Just 8 days until you're headed to Walt Disney World? I'm so jealous!
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a simply amazing property. You're going to have such a fabulous time!

Boatwright's Dining Hall at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a great choice for an enjoyable and relaxing dinner. There are a few options on ways to get there, depending on where you may be prior to dinner hour and how much leisure time you'd like to enjoy on the way there!

It's always recommended that you allow a full hour of travel time from the time you head out until your reservation time. If you'd like to sightsee on the way or may need to use multiple travel modes, allow 60-90 minutes so that you can relax.

If you'll be in one of the parks prior to dinner, simply catch the Disney Transportation Bus directly to Disney's Port Orleans Resorts. You'll disembark at the Riverside main bus stop (not at French Quarter - unless you're early and would enjoy a 15 minute, leisurely stroll along the Sassagoula River).

If you're leaving directly from Art of Animation, you have two options. Head out to the bus stop no later than 5:30pm and catch a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Once there, transfer over to a bus headed for Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. Alternatively, you may catch a bus from Art of Animation to Downtown Disney. Upon arrival there, take a short walk through the Marketplace and down to the boat dock next to the Rainforest Cafe. You'll want to board a ferry with a yellow flag headed for the Port Orleans Resorts. It's an enjoyable, 20 minute boat ride which departs approximately every 10 minutes.

I hope this information helps you plan your evening James.
If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to write me back. It would be my pleasure to assist you and I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
